DSC_0207In the summer of 2014, I launched a 60 day Indiegogo fundraising campaign to raise the funds needed to continue the project. The Abortion Diary got the support of 96 people and raised over $3,500. There is still a long way to go to keep The Abortion Diary going.  Help us continue to share our stories and show the world that our stories matter.

Join our community of supporters today. The Abortion Diary has recently received a tax exempt 501(c)3 status with the IRS (EIN #82-1428817). Your contribution to The Abortion Diary will be tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. Make a tax deductible donation through Paypal. Can you give $10, $15 or $20 today? Please give at the link below so that we can continue to share our own stories, heal, and break the silence and stigma around abortion. We can create change together.

Over the past two and a half years, I have been making this podcast out of pocket and as a labor of love. I have been traveling around the country and have recorded over 290 stories. The experiences that have been shared and recorded span from the late 1950s to 2017.  But the thing is, I can’t do it alone. It has been one girl with one mic. Now I need your help. I takes hundreds of hours each month recording, editing, curating, researching and writing in order to make sure that our voices are heard. I am continuing to raise money in order to make sure the podcast continues to exist, stays on the road, expands its reach and so that I can buy equipment so that many more people can record and listen to our stories.

We are grateful to have your support! I am thankful that the following people who believe in our mission and invested in The Abortion Diary Tour.  Whether they gave $1 or $250, every contribution supports The Abortion Diary in achieving its mission of sharing our stories and documenting our journeys. Thank you all!

With Gratitude,

Melissa Madera
